Support
Inshore Pulse is a fishing map and private catch log for the sounds, rivers and creeks of eastern North Carolina. If something is broken, wrong, or missing, email servicedesk@huckleberrylanelabs.com — it is read by the person who builds the app.
Getting help
Email is the only support channel. It helps to include your device model, your iOS version, and roughly where and when the problem happened — most map and conditions issues are specific to a location.
If you are reporting something that looks wrong on the water — a depth that does not match your sounder, a creek mouth in the wrong place, a water temperature that is off — say so. That feedback is the main way the data gets corrected.
Deleting your account
Open the account control in the top-right of the map, then choose Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, every catch you have logged with its locations and notes, every photo, and every water temperature reading you contributed. There is no recovery.
If you subscribed on the website, deleting the account cancels that subscription too. If you subscribed through the App Store, we cannot cancel it for you — Apple only lets you do that. Cancel it in the Settings app, under your name, then Subscriptions, or it will carry on billing after the account is gone.
If you would rather not use the in-app control, email privacy@huckleberrylanelabs.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Trouble signing in
Inshore Pulse uses Sign in with Apple, so your account is tied to the Apple ID signed in on the device. If your log looks empty, the most likely cause is being signed in with a different Apple ID than the one you logged those catches on — the account control shows which address you are currently using.
Changing which Apple ID the device uses is done in the iOS Settings app, not from inside Inshore Pulse.
Where the map covers
The depth, grass, bottom, creek and structure layers cover eastern North Carolina — Pamlico Sound, the Neuse and Pamlico rivers, Albemarle Sound and the surrounding creeks and bays. Outside that area the base map still works, but those layers will be empty. Weather, tide and solunar information is not limited to that region.
About the water temperature
Water temperature comes from the nearest reporting station when one is close enough to be meaningful. Very few stations inside the sounds carry a thermometer, so when none is in range the app falls back to a satellite and marine model and labels the reading as modeled rather than measured. The app always tells you which one you are looking at, and shows the station and its distance when the reading is a real measurement.
Not for navigation
Inshore Pulse is not a substitute for official nautical charts, a depth sounder, or your own judgment. Depth contours are derived reference data, not a certified chart. The app does show charted markers, hazards and wrecks from NOAA charts, and they are there for awareness only — coverage is incomplete, buoys and markers move and go missing, and a feature missing from this map may still be there on the water. Do not use it for navigation or for safety decisions. The full terms are at Terms of Service.
Requirements
Inshore Pulse requires iOS 16.0 or later, and an internet connection — map and conditions data is fetched live and is not available offline.
